Who am I
I am a Sydney, Australia based photographer born and raised in the city of Mumbai, situated on the West Coast of India.
I liked photography right from my childhood and don’t even remember when that liking turned into passion. All I remember is since last 20 years I have been nurturing and nourishing my passion diligently to achieve new milestones by capturing the world with my camera.
I am a a self -taught photographer who loves to shoot all kinds of photos and is passionate about two particular types; the portraits and the landscapes.
I find myself more drawn to Portraits because it’s the one form in my humble opinion that paves a way to best capture human emotions, the mind and its expressions.
Capturing a good portrait for me is as rewarding as it could be for a painter to paint the fine features of a face and make its memory immortal.
Along with Portraits I find various landscapes fascinating and extremely inviting for my lens.
The various topographical features, the flora, the fauna, splendid colours, the vibrance of a sunny day or the absence of it on a cloudy day, the starry sky; all these excite me and make me go out there to capture the beauty and the wonders of nature permanently with my camera.
My journey as a photographer constantly teaches me valuable lessons of life. One such lesson that I learnt is that on the face of the earth, into this world there are many such people who even in the 21st century are still not privileged enough to have their photographs taken. My aim is to go travel far and wide to such remote places and meet these people and give them the opportunity to be photographed, something that we take too casually but might be once in a lifetime occasion for them. I want their photographs taken so that their children, their grandchildren and possibly the next generations can see who their forefathers were.
I want to photograph as many people as possible to make the memories of their faces, their identity immortal.
